Pavilion & Avenue take on the French in an International Tournament – Saturday May 5th and Sunday May 6th.

This saturday at 2pm our mens 3rd team will be taking on the ‘Equipe des papis’ (their words not ours) of our chums from Metz tennis club with our own ‘equipe de papis’. For the non french speakers you can translate ‘equipe de papis’ as anything from Grandads team to dad’s army (with a little poetic licence) without offending anyone too much we hope. Don’t be fooled though the tennis will be hot like the weather!

This is part of the 4th in the series of exchange visits between Pav & Ave and Metz and we are looking forward to seeing them again and refreshing the entente cordiale. It promises to be a fun afternoon and the bar is open for anyone wanting to view this potentially awesome spectacle. Apologies in advance for any disappointment on the awesomeness front though…

There will also be social tennis going on of course, so please come and have some fun with us on what is forecast to be a fine bank holiday weekend.

On the sunday at 2.oo pm  we have a fun mixed doubles tournament with our French cousins so please sign up for this and the BBQ afterwards.

Vive la France but remember …there is no such thing as a friendly at this level!
